KANAKO SINCLAIR
NEPHILIM, SUBHUMAN X TENKAI
FEMALE
TWENTY FOUR
HETEROSEXUAL
ELEMENTAL GUARDIAN
DECEMBER TWENTY FOURTH
LIGHTNING
APPEARANCE
• HEIGHT: 5`6½''
• WEIGHT: 122lbs.
• SPECIAL MARKINGS: Her guardian scar symbol on her right wrist in the shape of a lightning bolt.
Kanako has an interesting appearance. Eyes as blue as day. Cerulean long and wavy hair that dresses down her back like a perfect waterfall. For a woman in the Sinclair family, her height is average, not too small and not too tall. Her body is lean, curvy, and busty, and she makes sure the world knows what she has to show off. She's very in tune with her body and mind, often wearing suggestive looking clothing, and her signature sunglasses on the top of her head. During her guardian duties, she would wear more imperial type clothes that matches her lightning persona.
• WEAPON(S):
Regarding weapons, as all Guardians have their own Guardian heirloom, the Lightning Guardian is issued the destructive sword named Eclair, which initiates the full lightning elemental guardian power at it's best. The ancestry and lineage of the blade goes way back, and is one of the oldest heirlooms known to date, as Lightning is an element that has been around for centuries. Being Lightning oriented, the blade itself reveals sharp jagged edges, that are covered with a layer of reflective protection, replicating that of a lightning bolt. It is cold to the touch when not activated, and dull in colour, portraying as a washed out silver colour. The sword itself appears heavy to others but the user, and can only be touched by the wielder.
When activated, one touch of the jagged edges of the blade, and an opponent, or a group of enemies, are sent with one hundred MVs, or more. Any lightning coming from the blade itself is quite deadly and dangerous; there's only so many opponents and enemies that could evade such power. Kanako would wield the sword with ease, swaying it back and forth, allowing the crawling loose ends of lightning pierce whatever is in it's way. The lightning itself will dangle off the blade, sparking together and sending electrical pulsating currents all throughout the sharp edges, emitting a yellow shine, which would reflect off the mirror part of the edges. If another sword touches it, the loose ends of lightning sparks will spark onto the other's blade. There's only so much Kanako can do with the sword, as it's power can become an endless wave of attacks. Some attacks would include lightning bolts shooting from the tip of the blade to digging the sword into the ground and aerial attack the surrounding radius. Depending how much force Kanako will use, the radius can go for half a mile in circumference.
The downside of using the sword is that once it's activated, it will drain the wielder's power immensely. It requires a lot of effort and training to even try holding the sword itself when it's activated, and within years of training, Kanako put herself on the line to become a user that can hold the sword. Her Guardian Cerra has 2/4 of the Guardian power when activated so that Kanako doesn't use up too much of the power at once. It is possible for an heirloom to loose it's charge after awhile, and overheat.
Heirlooms appear when called, depending on the type, and form in their hand activated or not activated.
With immense training, Kyu has become an exceptionally useful sprite that has dominated the Lightning element. Although Kanako worked Kyu to the bone, perfecting his skills just as much as she was trained, he still has a long way to go to completely master the element in more ways than one. However lacking she has been with him lately, Kyu knows his own training methods well and would normally train by himself to perfect and show Kanako his results.
Attacking someone head on, again, is not something this sprite would do, following the training methods that Kanako had given him. He's a long range attacker, however only attacking when needed as opponents are normally bigger than sprites, and sprites are needed for their heirloom's protection first before anything. He wouldn't get close to any enemy either, as he sticks to Kanako's side at all times to regulate the lightning attacks and lightning waves emitted from the heirloom (if the heirloom is being used.) Adopting a few of Kanako's traits, he is well adept at pin pointing, much like her, so his own eagle eyes are used as a backup, or for other purposes. Kyu is naturally strategic (producing a long time trait that he's picked up over previous owner's personalities) and would conjure up any sort of battle plan in case it's needed.
Kyu is a lime-green dragon that does not have any legs or arms. He is round at the bottom because of his missing legs (it was said over the years that his arms and legs fell off) and the only component of his tiny body that can substitute for arms would be his salmon coloured wings. His wings are translucent, smaller than most sprites, but he can fly quickly and with great ease. Kyu would normally wake up and appear on Kanako's side every once in awhile, following her wherever she goes, mostly clinging onto her leg or neck. Normally Kyu is there by her side whenever she needs him, but he would sporadically appear when he's not anyways. Amongst other sprite, Kyu is the smallest and the only one that does not have any legs or arms.

PERSONALITY
• MAIN ABILITIES: Element of Lightning (Divine) & Wind
• LESSER ABILITIES: Telepathy, Telescopic Vision.
Kana's one of those people that are on top of everything. She's learned to quickly spot anything in sight—movements and slight twitches of facial muscles, aim close to perfection, or even depicting on whether someone's lying or not. It comes naturally to her, though because it's one of her strengths, she was also trained to use her eagle eyes well in her guardian training. She had adapted well on utilizing it to the best of her abilities and has got significant praise on her strengths. With these eyes of hers, she could see into vast atmospheres, the solar system, even zoom in onto someone's skin to be able to count how many pores they have. Because of this ability of hers, there are times where she may experience tunnel vision, thus her usage of seeing farther than an average person can be limited to only often times.
The first thing noticable about Kana is that she's very outgoing and free-spirited, shameless enough to flaunt whatever she has and boast about it to almost anyone. She's pretty determined to get what she wants at times, and if she doesn't get what she wants, Kanako will bug and annoy whomever it is—she doesn't particularly answer to the word 'no' very easily. Nevertheless, she does know when to stop herself from going overboard and would leave anyone alone that really, seriously, doesn't want her presence around at all—which would naturally make her ignore those that do.
When it comes to her brothers, she shows no mercy to any girl that comes their way—if she spots any girl near them. Her brother-complex is huge and often mistaken as being a little too much in some situations.
Kanako's one of those risk takers that would do basically anything someone else would probably back out on. She not afraid to do anything someone else wouldn't and would most likely show that off to anyone to prove she's stronger and determined than most.
Showing weakness to others is something she cannot allow herself to do. She is very resilient, and at times, often loud and obnoxious when it comes to anyone testing her abilities. Reading her is very unlikely, unless she lashes out, and then she's an open book.
Being the Guardian of Lightning, she takes her job very seriously. She's precise on her abilities and strives to make herself stronger no matter what. Her Cerra, whom she named Kyu, often comes out of his weapon sometimes by himself and follows Kana everywhere. He has adopted the same personality as her, making him just as confident and resilient. Kana trains him just as much as she trains herself, and often calls him out during battles when she wants to get good advice on her skills—because she treats him as her only true friend, and often enough, Kyu would know a thing or two about what to say or do in some situations.
Although she strives to be the strong woman that she is, there are things that hold her back no matter how much she denies it. Kanako was diagnosed with a heart condition called Arrhythmia (irregular heartbeat) that could be life threatening if she strains her heart. It might hold her back during battles, and even during random times during the day, knowing full well when she has done too much. However, she tries her hardest to think past it, because even though it's life-threatening, she believes that it's not enough to kill her, which is why she continues doing the reckless things that she does.

♫ Kana's extremely keen on noticing anything, or watching things closely to determine a conclusion. Her eyes are mostly called the 'eagle eyes' because she could spot and aim accurately from whatever distance. Her habits with that has also picked up the trait of observing things to the very last detail, keeping a precise look, and taking note on the slightest movement.
♫ This is probably a bad habit/quirk to do, but she sometimes like giving people a tiny electrical shock with her finger (on any part of their body) to get them to pay attention to her, or simply just for her own entertainment.
♫ She used to be in ballet and can often be found in the main hall practicing.
♫ Her aim is accurate 99*% of the time due to her Guardian training, which mostly came from training the way she physically throws lightning bolts, coupled with her telescopic vision.
♫ Kana's pretty much a natural flirt and will flirt with anyone she's interested in, or finds somewhat interesting.
♫ Kanako has a really interesting hobby of chasing thunderstorms. She just can't distance herself away from the electric shock that she gets when lightning strikes her body. Doesn't often do this anymore, but likes to.
HISTORY
The Sinclair family never ought to think that they'd bare a female child into their family. Kanako was born as the middle child between her two brothers, ostracized the moment that she was looked upon. Being born as a female into the family is severely rare and up until the day that Kanako was born, there has been no records stating that there has been females bearing the Sinclair name at birth since many generations ago, therefore she is the only living female blood Sinclair up to date.
At the start, despite her being a girl, she was still a child in the Sinclair family, so she wasn't completely ignored by most of the family members. Her mother cared for her just like any other mother would, except she never looked happy while doing so. The one thing that her mother gave her all the time would be the look of pity and disgust, knowing full well that it was her own genes that caused this rarity to happen. Even so, her mother did what she had to do and cared for her; Kanako's father, on the other hand, wouldn't even look at her or held her once.
Her time with the family itself was cut short when she was only three years old that some of the people started to notice. Kanako had already been born with wings, which baffled her mother, and most of the family. It was concluded right away that she was a Guardian—not only because of the visible little white wings, but because of her symbol on her right wrist that no one paid any attention to. It wasn't really noticeable to begin with; the scar itself was concealed by her pale skin, making it hard to notice from the start. Her father, Asura, was the only one that was completely opposed to the idea all together, not wanting to taint the Sinclair name by having a girl being a guardian of the family's element. But unfortunately, they couldn't do anything about it.
Because she was a Guardian-to-be, Kanako was sent off to the Tenkai realm when she was nine years old to begin her training. She didn't know what was going on, and was very opposed to leaving her brothers behind, as they were all very close to each other and never separated. Leaving them would mean she'd be by herself, something she wasn't very accustomed to.
Adapting to the place where she knew no one was painful for a little girl like her to take, since she didn't understand why she was given away so quickly. Her thoughts formed around the conclusion that she wasn't wanted anymore (although she did know that she was different than others, had higher power in family status than most, and wasn't given much love from any of her family members other than her brothers.) But her training caused her to cease her apparent loneliness, mainly because she was taught to never show her emotions on her face—or never to show that she's weak in front of other people. Her training consisted of constant school work on top of Elemental training, barely ever getting much breaks between the two. Her trainer, Naochi, was always on her back about every little thing that she did, so Kanako did whatever she was asked to, making sure that she did nothing wrong that would make her get scolded in any way.
Naochi's way of training had always been, or 'had to be', different than the other Elemental trainers. He preferred to use his own methods to differ from other trainers so that the kids he trains turn out to be more unique than others. It's been said he's quite boastful in his works, always making sure his trainees turn out the best out there. Although he was a young Tenkai trainer at the time, he's trained countless Guardians, though Kanako would be his first Elemental guardian.
When she turned eight, she was already pristine with her elemental power, controlling it with ease, and keeping her emotions to herself. Naochi has decided that it was time to introduce her to Eclair, the sword of destruction. She wasn't very keen on training with an heirloom, as she was taken aback at the difference of training sessions that had forced her into using the sword, but as being the Guardian that she's training to be, she did nothing but do as she was told. It became a daily thing for her, to bring about the sword and utilize it as part of her training. She was told that this was only the beginning, though, which puzzled her.
Two years of training with the sword had enabled her to master it, fluidly moving with ease in combat. With passing the sword training, she was able to visit her family again. Being at the ripe age of ten, itwas a brief meeting, however it meant a lot to her that she got to at least see her mother and brothers. Although her meeting with her mother wasn't much, it was her brothers that meant more to her, and being away from them had hurt her heart in many ways. However, at the rate she was going, the faster she passes her tests and training, the better she'll become to prove to her family that she can be something and bear the Sinclair name without any mockery in between.
Kanako continued with her training after leaving Shunojiski once more, ignoring what the world had to offer, and fighting to become an excellent guardian for her element. When she was thirteen, Naochi thought it was time to introduce her to her Guardian Cerra. Kanako named the little dragon Kyu, and had quickly befriended him, becoming a special friend to her (and her only friend at that.) They've bonded without any effort, considering Kyu adopted her personality, and it wasn't long before she began her next phase of training, which was to have the tiny dragon alongside of her. Two years later, she and Kyu were able to master tagging along with each other, and fighting together, sharing their brains and ideas to become a tag team that no opponent would want to come across.
After Kanako turned fifteen, she was handed the key to the guardian gate of Lightning from Naochi as a way for her to finally start taking her role seriously. She was free to do most of the things that she hasn't gotten to do as a kid, like traveling and finally getting to see her brothers more often. (developing the very brother-complex that people would notice her by) It was a freedom that she once wanted to know what it felt to be in, and it made her happy that she got to live inside of it for a little bit, despite the restrictions that she had to hold onto herself.
Coming home to Kei living as the Subhuman Leader, however, made her weary. She knew the consequences and responsibilities that were taken when it came to being the Leader, especially only being just half Subhuman to begin with, therefore Kanako wasn't allowed to see her brother anymore. It was devastating enough to find out that Kurai was only her half sibling, and now she was forbidden to see Kei. So her only choice was to stay up at the guardian gate, closed off from the very freedom that she tried hard to earn.
It wasn't very long afterwards that she had to start her Guardian duties. Her first charge came when she was seventeen, having to watch over a potential Tenkai Guardian named Reiji, who had difficulties with life and wasn't very adept with his powers. Kanako made sure she did her job right, watching him from a distance, and paying close attention to what he does. She made sure that nothing happened to him, no matter what, despite how much she gets hurt in the process. Although she was blatantly told not to reveal herself in front of a charge unless seriously needed, she would appear from time to time to give Reiji a little push in the direction he should be going towards. The boy was a little on the reckless side of life, doing what he wants and not caring what others would think of his actions. Kanako knew she couldn't change him, but she was watching over him for a reason, and she didn't want to see him fail, much less see herself fail at her first charge.
Reiji was her charge for quite awhile. Almost a year had passed until she was able to discharge him from her care. He shown remarkable results within the change of his life, and once she left him in care of himself, Reiji became the guardian that he was destined to be, and Kanako couldn't have been any more happier that her first charge was a success.
Up until recently, however, they've stopped talking to each other, later finding out that he was burdened with a heart disease and eventually died from cardiac arrest. Although Kanako was hurt, all she could do was mourn in silence, as her prior training has led her to believe that showing emotions was a sign of weakness, therefore she'd never cry in front of anyone—not even to herself. It hurt her to know that he wasn't around anymore. He could have been a great guardian that could have turned a charge's life around if only he knew of his disease earlier.
As Kanako moved on, she grew into her personality, being outgoing and showing optimism to many people. Her never giving up attitude made her known between all of the other guardians. As for her status, it was only until recently that they've all been told that she was Kei's full-blood relative. It didn't matter much to her if they took that not as well as she hoped they would, but nevertheless, Kanako would treat her fellow guardians as friends, even if she were annoying in their eyes. The worst thing that can happen is to be alone, and she didn't want to be alone—her fear of being alone haunts her in many ways, as she was alone almost her entire life. As much as being independent feels nice, inside she's just lonely, which gives her the reason to be more involved with others, mostly directed to guys for temporary closeness, to feel that sense of being wanted.
But Kana's deep azure eyes are void with emotions, and although she'd appear to be a shameless brother-complex fiery enigma, her real emotions lay behind those very eyes that would lock their gaze at someone. She'd deny most of what people would say if and when anyone would notice them, but it doesn't take rocket science to deeply look into them and wonder just what's behind those shimmering glosses that are causing her to hide everything. Everything including her own heart condition that she had recently found out about.
It didn't take long for her to notice there was something wrong with her own body; particularly her heart. Her chest tightens and constricts her breathing rate so much, she feels as if her life can slip away at that very moment. The pain that she feels is excruciating, but she tries her hardest to keep it from taking over her body as much as she could before collapsing, if it's just one of those times where she probably can't handle it. Some people who are close to her do know her condition, however once Naochi had learnt of this, fortunately and unfortunately, it was his responsibility to make sure she's okay regularly, as he's been the one constantly straining her heart from the very beginning. It hasn't been said on what really caused it, but the constant straining of her heart from training could be the issue that lead to it. That or she was born with the condition that wasn't made known until later in her life.
As the weeks passed on, Kanako had become more and more weaker with her heart problems, and had to be properly diagnosed so she could have the chance to control it before it becomes much worse than it already is. Although the condition is a mix between irregular heartbeat and cardiovascular disease, because she was able to catch it before it gotten to the point where it could have killed her, it is now under control with medicine and regular heart check-ups, as well as advice to keep her irregular heartbeat in check.
Kanako doesn't regularly take care of herself much with this condition, but she's well aware of the consequences in the end.
At the start, despite her being a girl, she was still a child in the Sinclair family, so she wasn't completely ignored by most of the family members. Her mother cared for her just like any other mother would, except she never looked happy while doing so.
