Mila Cadieux
MANOR, pureblood
FEMALE
TWENTY
PANSEXUAL
RUSA/VETERAN YEAR
MAY FIFTH
HEALER’S TOUCH
APPEARANCE
Mila is one of those people who are extremely confident in their own skin and not afraid to flaunt it. Despite her diminutive size at 5’1”, the way she holds herself commands attention when she enters the room, strutting her stuff because she knows that all eyes are on her. She has the perfect hourglass figure; voluptuous chest, small waist and curvy hips; and toned physique which she trained hard for. She is very flexible thanks to years of gymnastics and martial arts. Clinging to her figure is usually something form fitting and most likely skimpy as well, Mila has no shame when it comes to these things, whatever gets her way. Her skin is pale and prone to natural flushes of excitement when she’s angry or aroused. She doesn’t have any scars on her body, thanks to her healing abilities
Her natural appearance is a vivacious blonde, golden tone locks that cascade down the length of her back in subtle waves. The strands are silky to touch which she usually wears in a two-side-up hairstyle, which consists of part of it being tied up into twin tails with ribbons, while the rest of her hair remains down. Other times she may just wear it down or tied up in a simple ponytail to keep it out of her face.
Her eyes are a fiery amber hue, the iris gleaming shades of predominantly red and orange with specs of gold depending on how the light hits. Expressive and often filled with mischief, Mila’s eyes are angular and large, giving her a catty appearance.
When at the academy, she alters her appearance slightly to blend in with the other students. She uses temporary dye to colour her hair black and wears blue contacts to hide the distinctive colour of her eyes. Her dress style is more conservative and covers more skin, but she still loves to flaunt her assets with short skirts and tight tops.
To keep her civilian identity secret when operating as a Rusa member, Mila wears a hooded red cape with gold lining, using her manipulation to bend the darkness to further obscure her features. Underneath the cape she wears a short black dress decorated with gold skull motifs. She wields a jagged, spear like weapon which was created by her grandmother using dark element manipulation to channel the dark element.

INVENTORY: Despite how her clothes leave very little to the imagination, Mila carries an assortment of different items on her person most of the time. She carries a small butterfly knife usually in her bra or strapped to her thigh. She also likes to carry around random lengths of chain (don’t ask why). Also, don’t forget the lollipops, she has a strange oral fixation with lollipops.

PERSONALITY
MAIN ABILITY: Healer’s Touch & Dark Element Manipulation
Mila is a master of her healing powers, something that is acknowledged even amongst other medics in the field. She can heal most injuries without difficulty such as wounds, broken bones and poisoning. But where she really excels is her skills in dealing with unusual injuries that many healers may bulk at, particularly those related to the nerves as it involves very precise control.
Severe wounds require more power, concentration and time to heal, and she prefers to be touching her subject to maximise her abilities. An ability which she doesn’t show in front of her Subhuman counterparts is wound transferal, when she can shift damage from one person to another – something that comes in handy in a fight.
Her second main ability is the power to manipulate the dark element; a volatile element based in darkness and destruction, considered the negative powers of nature itself. Due to the nature of the element, she uses a spear as the conduit to help with her control, as it is very easy to lose control and cause harm to herself when manipulating the darkness.
Against her opponents, she would launch bolts or blasts of dark element to cause damage to them or their surroundings. She does run the risk of exhausting herself if she uses too much energy at once, but on the counter side, she can unleash devastating attacks to disable an enemy.
Ironically so, Mila can manipulate the dark element to unheal another person who has been healed or cured, causing them to be impaired with their previous wounds.
SECOND HAND ABILITIES: Blood-Flow Vision & Dark Vision
She inherited blood-flow vision as part of her natural manor abilities. When in use, she can see all the major and minor veins of a living being. This enhances her control of her healing powers, allowing her to assess the internal damage. Conversely, she can use her vision to target vulnerable parts of her opponent.
PERSONALITY: Mila is not what one would expect when encountering a Manor. She is quite the hyper ball of wild energy, cheery and enthusiastic when allowed to be. She absolutely thrives in being the centre of attention and is usually the life of the party. She always seems to be constantly on the move, not liking having to stay still in one spot for too long – she gets too fidgety. Her attention span is atrocious if it’s something she’s not interested or has stakes in, though she will force herself to sit through it if with great boredom on her face.
Free-spirited and feisty, it is easy to overlook her bubbly traits as harmless. Underneath it all, Mila hides a cunning and intelligence that is not to be underestimated, especially if she deems someone as her prey. She is absolutely ruthless, using whatever in her arsenal to get what she wants, even if it means seducing them and then stabbing them in the back. One may assume that because she is the healer, she is the most harmless out of all the other dangerous individuals in her group. This is not the case, however, through her medic training, Mila is intimately familiar with the way the body works and can heal or destroy depending on whether she deems someone friend or foe. She is after all, widely acknowledged for her skills as a medic, and would often consult other medics as expected of her cover.
She is an unapologetic flirt and enjoys toying with other people, she doesn’t waste time with people she finds uninteresting. Very comfortable in her sexuality, Mila is always down for some fun which has earnt her quite the promiscuous reputation at the Academy. She doesn’t care what others think, so long as she gets what she wants. She can be hard to please in bed though, throwing away those she deems too vanilla.
Compared to the rest of her Rusa team, she would definitely describe herself as the sunshine of the group, finding most of their temperaments too painfully serious. Nevertheless, she will do whatever it takes to keep her fellow RUSA members injury-free, having developed a fierce loyalty to them. Because they are a rebel group within a Manor society that is already so fragmented, she knows that they can only really rely on themselves to defend themselves. When it really comes down to it, Mila is one of the more reliable members despite how she may act outside of RUSA operations, she does have a reputation to maintain, even if most of the general public are not aware of her true loyalties and identity.
For all her peppy nature, Mila is also known for her terrible temper if provoked enough. It begins with her getting agitated and argumentative; leading into physical displays of anger. Despite being such a small thing, her episodes are almost legendary where she musters some unknown strength in her tiny body and bears down on the subject of her ire with an icy cold wrath. Anyone who thinks that she is too peppy to be real is probably right, Mila is very good at hiding the darkness and instability which clouts her mind, she is just very good at channelling it in other ways, namely through meaningless acts of physical intimacy or letting loose with her dark element powers.
She is clingy to those she likes and deems worthy of her attention, pouty when she doesn’t get her way. Two people in particular she can’t seem to stay away from are Eli, the RUSA’s leader; and Eri, her classmate and fellow Manor. It’s only a plus for her that Eri has been hanging out with the RUSA more and more in recent times. Her masochistic tendencies towards terrible and cruel people seem to stem from her various issues, but she can’t help herself, she’s drawn to people who don’t treat her well.

HISTORY
The Cadieux family are known as a prominent, high class family, coming from a long line of respected Healers historically. In current times, they own and run a large pharmaceuticals corporation operating in Shunojiski, but the family harbours a carefully-kept secret; they are pureblood Manors thriving amongst Subhumans. Her father was a member of the Manor Council and the current of head family, her mother having married into the family as part of an arranged marriage, coming from a wealthy Manor family herself. The youngest of three siblings, Mila was considered the ‘spare’ child to the family name, the unexpected accident. Her family already had an heir to carry on the family name - her eldest brother, Niklaus; and the successor to the family company, her sister, Dahlia. The age gap between Mila and her sister was fifteen years, and eighteen for her brother. If anything happened to either of her siblings, her parents figured there was at least a backup to carry on the family name.
Her childhood was a lonely one, her parents generally acting neutral towards their youngest having been through all this twice already, leaving her in the care of nannies and tutors. She didn’t have many friends and pretty much lived in the confines of their mansion, her parents not trusting her with being able to keep the family secret until she was older. She was to be home-schooled until she was old enough to infiltrate and attend the Academy. She was expected to learn about the human anatomy at a young age because even if she didn’t inherit Healer’s Touch from her parents, she was going to join the family company anyway when she was old enough. The other subjects were pretty standard, though it was always a nightmare trying to get Mila to concentrate on anything, unless it involved physical training. Her sister, Dahlia, was the only one who took the initiative to spend time with her, treating her as big sisters should to their younger, something which Mila came quickly to adore her for and was always the highlight of her day when Dahlia would come home from the academy. Niklaus, like her parents, was always too busy to see her, though Mila did treasure the few times she got to spend with him as he was always nice to her, if a bit reserved.
She was always a hyper and bright young thing, with too much energy and not enough stimulus to keep her busy. Her nannies found that the easiest way to calm her down was letting her know that Dahlia was coming to visit that day, or setting her down in front of study materials on the anatomy – the only thing that would interest her. They figured that because she idolised her sister so much, that Mila was keen to follow in her footsteps and that motivated her eagerness to learn. Where other children were only just starting to name various different animals, she was already rattling off the different bones in the body. She wanted to prove to her parents that she was not the useless child, that she could be just like her sister. To be honest, she was just waiting for some form of acknowledgement or a shred of affection from her parents.
As she grew older, Mila trained as a gymnast and a taekwondo practitioner, both sports which require a high degree of control over the body. It helped with burning off her excess energy due to the concentration required to manoeuvre her body in such ways. Though her flexibility and coordination often found her getting into some interesting situations. Like performing handstand on the roof, or using the trees in the garden as her own personal jungle gym. Without that much company around, Mila had to find her own ways to keep herself entertained, eagerly waiting for the day when she was allowed to attend school with the other children, even if they were mostly Subhumans and Tenkai.
At age nine, her healing powers made themselves known, much to her delight. It would be the first time she saw her parents show some form of emotion towards her and actually paid attention, now that she was actually useful to them. With her lineage and the manifestation of her powers, her parents now saw her as a potential way of increasing the family’s reach within the Manor society through marriage. Dahlia and Niklaus had already been married off to the children of other members of the Council. They started taking her to more Manor gatherings, where Mila was able to meet other people in the upper echelons of Manor society. This was where she met Elliot Soujiro for the first time. He was the son of the leader of the Manor Council at the time. Although they didn’t interact much because he was much older than her and was always surrounded by other people, he was someone whom Mila paid attention to during these gatherings because of his unique looks and strange personality. The few times they interacted, she certainly was intrigued. She would find out later that her parents had put her forward as a marriage candidate, though the other family had picked someone else instead.
Mila was an early developer, her body starting to mature more noticeably around the age of fourteen. There was a perceptible increase in marriage offers and her father started taking in more of an interest in her, deciding to take her along on his business dealings. It didn’t take her long to figure out that he was using her as a lure to win better deals with his partners, often having her dolled up and leaving her alone with these men once the ink was dry on the contracts. Mila went along with it all, eager to please her father. Dahlia was furious when she found out what their father was doing, but was powerless to speak out again the head of the family, especially when she discovered that their mother was also aware of his dealings and willing to go along with it.
She enrolled into the academy disguised as a Subhuman without too much fanfare, and forced to hide her more distinguishable colouring. Mila didn’t really care though, attending Shunojiski Academy gave her the freedom she had been craving her entire life and she thrived. She developed a reputation quickly as being friendly with everyone, a little too friendly at times. Boys would flock to her because of her looks; and girls would befriend her for dating and beauty advice. Not to say she didn’t make any enemies, having accidentally stolen a few people’s boyfriends, not that Mila cared. She was having the time of her life.
Academically, she cruised by through most of her classes, having already learnt most of it during her home schooling. She was placed in the advanced classes for her abilities, but still she passed those with ease, demonstrating a mastery of her Healer’s Touch that was more advanced than expected at her age. Her professor decided to give her more practical experience, allowing her to work at the hospital as an assistant healer during class time. Many of her classmates were surprised to discover this, having assumed that she was a complete ditz because of the way she acted and carried on.
Her second ability manifested late in her first year at the academy, Dark Element manipulation, which she inherited from her maternal side of the family. It was decided almost immediately that Mila would keep this power a secret, and she was sent to her mother’s family for training. It would be the first time she was meeting many of her relatives on her mother’s side, much to her surprise they were much more open with their emotions and accepted her with open arms, making her realise how much she resented her own family (with the exception of her siblings) for ignoring her. Her grandmother, having been the last one to hold this power, was the one to teach her control, gifting her with her much treasured lance.
It was around the same time that her parents mysteriously disappeared, it definitely wasn’t a coincidence that it was at the exact same time that the Council was announced to have been dissolved. The official story was that they had been in a boating accident, though Mila and her siblings were certain it was an assassination. Whatever the reason, she felt nothing at all regarding her parent’s death. Her brother became the family head, and Dahlia took control of the company as had always been their parent’s plan, even if the circumstance was completely unexpected and not what they intended. Mila was free to do whatever she wanted now, though she was at a complete loss.
Not long after the incident and much to her surprise, she was approached by Eli, someone she hadn’t seen or heard of in years, to join a group of Manor rebels he had created as their Medic. Sure she had heard whispers of this group previously before the disbandment of Council, now becoming more active since the top seat was now empty with the previous leader’s disappearance. She agreed without hesitation, lending her support mostly from the shadows as her identity as a Manor had not yet been discovered. She continued as a student at the academy, remaining on into her veteran years with the intention to work in the medical field where she was already developing a reputation for herself amongst the healing community.
