YET'ERIEL SHEDIM
TENKAI, fallen
MALE
Twenty-Four
Bi/PANSEXUAL
violinist
September 30th
To be determined
APPEARANCE
Yet'eriel Shedim is 6ft 3in tall, with a broad-shouldered, leanly muscular frame. His limbs are long, but not disproportionately so, and his hands are long fingered and broad palmed, bearing the sorts of callouses that a musician or fencer might have. His neck is longish, with a slightly protruded adams apple. His skin is a warm golden color, that appears paler during the winter and darker during the summer. His head is wrought with a halo of dark auburn curls, and his brows are dark, straight, and thick. Yet'eriel's eyes are bright gold in color, large and expressive, and framed by long, thick, curling eyelashes. His nose, while not particularly large, is strong and slightly aquiline, and his cheekbones are high and somewhat prominent. His mouth is wide, pouting, and sensuous, and though both lips are full, his upper lip is thinner than his lower lip. His jawline is soft and narrow with a pointed chin. There are deep, ugly scars on his back from where his wings had been permanently clipped.
Yet'eriel Shedim wields no weapon, but is in possession of an old violin with bow and case that he bought at an estate sale when he was a teenager. Through years of unending practice, he is a violinist of remarkable (though not necessarily prodigious) skill.
He is only as dressed as necessary for the day, so that would mean the same three pairs of jeans and plain white t-shirts washed over and over again.

PERSONALITY
MAIN ABILITY: none (yet)
SECOND HAND ABILITIES: see above
Positive traits
Curious: Yet'eriel Shedim always want to know why things are the way they are. In order to properly be someone's Guardian, you have to understand them as a person on a deeply personal level, and it's only after you understand them that you can help them grow and develop.
Charismatic: Not only is Yet'eriel Shedim a handsome man, but he has a relaxed manner that makes him easy to talk to, with a good sense of humor and a smile that lights up the room.
Musical: He is an excellent violinist, with a lovely singing voice, and not only does he enjoy listening to music, but playing it as well.
Exuberant: Yet'eriel Shedim radiates excitement and enthusiasm with everything he undertakes, and seems to have boundless energy. His energy isn't actually boundless, but he tries to live life with a certain joie de vive.
Passionate: When Yet'eriel puts his mind to something, there is nothing that he will not do to achieve it. It's not out of ambition or a need for prestige, though. He just cares really very deeply about his interests and other people.
Romantic: Not only does he demonstrate a worshipful adoration of those he loves, but he wants so desperately to help other people out of a belief that all people are capable of goodness.
Affectionate: This is not a cold, untouchable man. This is a man that will hug, will comfort through touch, and not only is he willing to do so, he enjoys it.
Sensual: To Yet'eriel Shedim, the world has so much beauty to offer. Why not take it in? Why not delight in the smell of perfume, the sound of another person's voice, the sweetness of wine and taste of salt, the soft glow of moonlight, and the warmth of an embrace?
Negative traits
Passionate: As charming as he can be, there is an almost disturbing emotional intensity to him. His zealotry could lead him to doing terrible things if he belives a cause to be great enough. Because he feels so deeply, anything that stands in his way is forever an enemy.
Romantic: Yet'eriel falls in love easily, and falls in love hard. His desire to love and be loved can make him indiscriminate in who he chooses, which often leads to heartbreak.
Affectionate: Because he is so open and free with his personal boundaries, he often does not completely understand the boundaries of others. Though plenty of people are charmed, others may find it offputting how close he stands when talking to them, or how eager to touch them he seems to be in conversation.
Sensual: Though he is in no way, shape, or form a predator, Yet'eriel Shedim has some degree of trouble disguising his lust. He stares a little too long, sighs a little too loudly, and his touch lingers a bit too much, at least when it concerns the object of his affection. This has had terrible consequences for him in the past.
Impulsive: Oscar Wilde once said, "I can resist anything except temptation", and such is true of Yet'eriel Shedim. This impulsiveness is what doomed him to his status as a Fallen Tenkai
Reckless: This goes hand in hand with his impulsiveness, wherein as soon as he gives in to his impulses, he cares not for any of the consequences, or at least is oblivious to them in the singleminded pursuit of his desires.

Friendships: Yet'eriel Shedim is a friendly sort of guy, and so would be open to any friendships or alliances. Because of his passionate, devoted nature, you can trust him to be on your side, as long as you aren't in direct opposition to his goals.
Romance: While he is mourning the loss of his beloved Rebecca and is desperate to find a way to bring her back, it's been five years. Five years is a long time for a man like Yet'eriel to go without another heart beating close to his.
Enemies: Yet'eriel's personality has likely grated against some other people, but he does not seek to make enemies, necessarily. The only true enemy he has is the Tenkai government, for it is because of them that the love he shared with Rebecca had to be secret, had to be taboo, had to be doomed.

HISTORY
Once upon a time, Yet'eriel Shedim was a devoted Guardian Tenkai.
His passion and exuberance turned to a dedication to training in the art of Guardianship, his musicality part of the quirk of the job. His natural affinity for open affection made his healer's touch a breeze, and though he had been honing his telepathy and telekinesis since he was 9, he had no need to employ it much. In the Tenkai realm, he developed wings early, and they were a glorious and gleaming gray that encircled his body like the strong arms of a lover. His parents, Jubal and Shiri, were so proud of their boy. His talent with the violin made him popular among his Guardian Tenkai peers, as did his easy way of speech, his melodious voice, and his bright, inquisitive mind. All had changed when Yet'eriel, at the age of 19, was assigned to guard Rebecca Silverman.
Rebecca Silverman was a quiet 16 year old subhuman girl, shy and scared of her powers. She was enrolled in her 2nd year at the Shunojiski academy, trying her best to tame her powers, but to no avail. Her pyrokinetic powers would wreak destruction if she was cornered, her enhanced hearing would make the sizzle of burning flesh deafeningly loud, her empathic abilities made the pain her own. Yet'eriel would read her thoughts and try to comfort her, to sooth her soul and heal her wounds both physically and emotionally. Everytime she scorched desks in the classroom, he would telekinetically douse them, and anyone who was burned would have their wounds healed. Yet'eriel was fiercely protective of Rebecca, and he would die for her. He was always by her side, tending to her needs, brushing away tears from her sad brown eyes and moving strands of her silky black hair out of her face and behind her ear. One night, after a particularly hard day at the academy, Yet'eriel and Rebecca had retired to her room to decompress after a day of mending wounds and rooms, and continued their training through meditation. He could not meditate with her, because he spent too long gazing at her pale, placid face, the plumpness of her cupid's bow mouth, the roundness of her limbs, the way her eyelashes caressed her rosy cheeks, the way her delicate chest rose and fell with her breathing , and the movement of her throat as she swallowed. He loved her. He loved her, and wanted her, and needed her as much as she needed him, and she knew it. He yearned for her desperately, but knew that as her Guardian, they could never touch. They knew it was wrong, and unheard of, and highly unprofessional. They knew that if anything were to transpire it would have to be in secret, or else his life and livelihood was at stake.
The things we do for love.
As time went by, Rebecca gained better control of her powers. From absorbing the emotions of others, she was able to diffuse arguments within the school's halls. From her enhanced hearing, she could respond instantly to anyone in need. Even her pyroinesis was under control, or at least it wasn't the constant destructive force that it had always been. Life was nearly perfect. Yet'eriel was her guide and mentor by day and whispered the most ardent declarations of love in her ear at night. However, all had changed when her stomach began to swell.
Pregnancy made Rebecca reckless. Her desire to protect her child started to override the self contol that she had amassed from her previous training, and she began to be more prone to lashing out in anger in an extremely destructive manner. One day, due to the very public shaming and suspicion that arose from her walking about in society as a pregnant teenager, she snapped. All of the humiliation, all of the scorn that she absorbed from the fellow students at Shunojiske Academy had poisoned her, and she began to attack them indiscriminately. The other students battled against her for their own lives, but to no avail, for she was too powerful. Yet'eriel Shedim, upon hearing that his beloved was wreaking havoc from the thoughts blaring from her mind, rushed to the school. He telekinetically subdued her, but the force of the impact of his psychic blow knocked her back into a building, breaking her bones and crushing many of her organs. Horrified, he rushed off to heal her, but to no avail. While her wounds could be mended, her body was already dead, and their child likely with her. The Subhuman government and the Tenkai order took over the scene and captured Yet'eriel Shedim. He was dealt with like many other Tenkai were, Guardian or no. His wings were painfully and forcibly extracted from him, his powers obliterated. His parents had shunned him, preferring to believe that their son was dead rather than Fallen. Yet'eriel was, for the first time, truly alone.
Once upon a time, Yet'eriel Shedim was a devoted Guardian Tenkai. Now he is a humble Fallen violinist, longing to find a way to resurrect his beloved Rebecca.
