you only know a part of me WORDS: like 650 muse: everyone snoring OOC: back in the game baby bird, wooo “I hope you’re prepared to handle the candy monster I am… Because I have the feeling that this little one will be inheriting their mother’s love for candy.”
At the top of the academy, Kei sat behind the back part of the hall, where a balcony resides outside the end of the walkway. He reached for his lighter and lit up the last cigarette that he had on him after chain smoking the entire day. The days are finally getting longer, however recently they have become too short. click, click-- Puffed it, and inhaled the chemicals deep into his lungs. It's been a few weeks since Misaki had told him some news that he didn't take very well. The shock sent shivers down his spine and he could no longer hold his composure that he had kept up for a very long time. Every thought he had in his mind was completely washed away from the news that was presented to him, and he completely shattered.
How could I have been so clumsy?
The stars of the sky were slowly becoming more prominent, as the sun started to set. He gazed with his cold, sad eyes, inhaling more smoke into his lungs while he stared at the scenery. Below him were countless students engaging in the fireworks festival that was planned for tonight, starting within the hour. Lights began to flicker on, illuminating the sidewalks and streets nearby, while vendors were getting ready to start luring customers into their domain. Kei had no interest in participating, nor did he care about what was going on down there.
After his cigarette was depleted, he shoved the butt into the cigarette dispensary unit, and quickly glanced below him once more, making a second look around to ease his mind. The activity of the Manor has completely ceased. For weeks now, there were no traces of any mishaps around the realm. But that didn't sound right at all. If anything, it made him more nervous. He felt that something is going to happen, and he might not even see it coming.
He sat up and faced the walkway, shutting the doors behind him before slowly walking down the dimly lit hall. Something doesn't feel right to him, and he's felt this way for awhile now. The hallway had a couple of stray students running around between their classrooms to finish preparing for the festival. Some waved at him while he walked past them, muttering a small 'hello Kei-sama' while they did. He lightly smiled at them as he continued down the hall and onto the second floor, and finally the first floor where his office was.
He had no clue where he was going or what he was doing for the rest of the day. All he could think about was her. Her smile, her laughter, the adorable ways she would bump into him or trip or something and laugh about it. Everything about her sent him stir crazy, his heart pounded when he thought about her.
Kei opened the door to his dark office and flipped the switch to his light. He sat down on his desk and leaned his forehead into his right hand; his azure locks falling softly onto his face while his elbow propped against a pile of paperwork, student files, and a marriage proposal that is not signed, dedicated to him. Anyone could tell that he was severely drained with lack of sleep. The exhaustion was taking it's toll on him; Higher Ups and the government asking so many things from him, he could no longer keep up anymore. On top of that, there is no going back from the mistake that he made.
He pondered for a moment, wondering where Misaki may be, even though he had no right to even think about her, let alone even wonder where the hell she would be. He's a complete asshole, there's no qualms about that. No form of communication to her, no nothing. What is wrong with me...?
He sighed deeply, closing his eyes, slightly drifting.

The blank walls of her office stared back at her mockingly as she packed away the last of her possessions, leaving the place bare for whoever her successor would be. There was no second-guessing her decision now, she already wasted enough time as it was. The small flicker of hope she had tried to cling on to disappearing day by day as the silence drew on longer and longer, and maybe she was right after all, maybe he had finally accepted that she was too broken, a complete and utter mess. Certainly not someone you would want to start a family with. It was time to go home. Back to the Tenkai realm, back to her family. Her parents had been insistent on her return when they had found out the news, no doubt concerned how it would look if she was suddenly with child and single – and Misaki, well, she was too numb to really care anymore and hadn’t put up much of a fight. The only question she refused to answer was who the father was, no need to drag Kei into another one of her messes. That she had understood perfectly clear when he walked away from her without so much as a backward glance. Besides, it was easier to hide a Nephilim amongst the Tenkai than a Nephilim amongst the Subhumans. She couldn’t stay much longer even if she wanted to, at almost three months along it was becoming more and more difficult to hide her pregnancy, loose clothing could only hide so much. Sooner or later someone was going to figure it out and Misaki wasn’t keen on the fallout of that. A soft sigh escaped her lips as she eyed the envelope sitting at the very top of the pile of books and music sheets in her bookbag. There was one last thing she had to do before she left, for good this time. He deserved a goodbye at the very least, and an explanation. She had disappeared on him once before and she didn’t intend on leaving him in the dark again ( if he even still cared? The traitorous voice in the back of her mind whispered). It didn’t matter anyway, she shook her head furiously to clear her thoughts, she was making the decision for them. She couldn’t hang around any longer, hoping that he may change his mind or at least say something to her. She had made no effort to contact him, figuring that he would do it when he was ready and on his own terms. The fact that he hadn’t already, well she was barely keeping it together as it was, and that was only for the baby’s sake. And maybe she was making a liar out of the both of them when she said she would stand by him, and he said she could rely on him. What a fool she was. Misaki let her head drop, taking in a deep shaky breath to compose herself before pushing the chair back and rising from her former desk. She allowed herself one last cursory glance at the room before turning off the light. The plan was simple: stop by his office, drop off the letter and go. That didn’t stop the dread from creeping up on her, footsteps feeling heavier as she walked the familiar path to his office. There was no one around, most people probably out enjoying the festivities outside. It would have been wonderful to see her students perform one last time, but this was a matter she simply could not ignore. Still, it didn’t make the mahogany door to his office any less intimidating standing in front of it. Well it was now or never, she forced herself to move, turning the knob of the door to let herself in – only to freeze at the sight that greeted her. What was he doing here? She assumed he would have been outside at the festival or maybe at home, but not here of all places, at this time, she thought a little hysterically as she took in his sleeping form resting upon the paperwork. Letting out the breath she did not realise she was holding, Misaki took another cautious step into the room, cerulean gaze never leaving him when he showed no signs of stirring. If this was the last time she saw him, she may as well take the chance while she had it. He looked… exhausted. Even in sleep there were faint frown lines marring his features and the beginnings of sleep deprivation forming under his eyes. Clothes a little crumbled instead of the immaculate state she was used to seeing him in, the distant smell of smoke still clinging to him. She wasn’t sure when she had moved closer, right next to his desk with her hand outstretched -- so close she could almost touch him. She shook her head to berate herself and started to pull away, though not before something caught her attention out the corner of her eye on his desk. Marriage Proposal. She gasped loudly and jerked back with a quick movement, the back of her leg catching the chair behind her and she winced as that tipped over with a loud crash that was deafening even to her ears. There was definitely no way Kei was sleeping through all this noise. Hastily, she shoved the letter into her book bag as far down as it would go, ears still ringing as she darted for the exit like a deer caught in headlights. I need to get out of here.

you only know a part of me WORDS: like 550 muse: aki bloops OOC: oh my lord "Leaving so soon?"
Kei sat there, opening his eyes suddenly, but didn't move quite yet. He was a bit surprised that Misaki stumbled in his office during this time. Why was she here? Not so much of a terrible question to think about, but at the same time, after all this time, she ends up finding him here. Why? He moved his hand from his face, exhaustion now more prominent with his expression. His thoughts are clouded, and he feels more or less possessed, not like himself at all.
Sitting up abruptly, he sighed, staring at her as he got up from his chair. "If you're going to come in here, at least be quiet." he muttered, swinging around from his desk. He felt his heart tugging in his chest, beating so fast that he can't breathe properly. Completely overtaken by his emotions, he brought his hand back to his pained face, stumbling over to her, slowly, like he was a drunken mess, though he has not touched a single bottle of Gin today.
He paused midway, examining her for a moment. She had a bag with her. Not to jump to any conclusions, but it seems like she was preparing to leave, or at least it looked that way to him with the way her book bag was packed up. Not too long ago, the Tenkai realm was repaired, and have been asking their kind to return to them so that they could be safe and enjoy themselves in the newly rebuilt world. Kei has completely forgotten the notion that Misaki was indeed, a Tenkai. Pureblood.
The lungs of this man forced him to sigh once more, heavily breathing this time, his face getting warmer by the minute. His emotions were seemingly uncomfortable, but at this point, he barely has control of what he was feeling, or doing, for that matter.
His suit jacket got caught on the bottom of the downed chair that Misaki toppled over, and he grunted. He took it off and placed it down, unbuttoning his black shirt at the top, as he was feeling constricted and sweaty. Kei walked up to her before she had any chance of leaving him in this room alone, and slowly backed her into the wall, closing her in. Though she's relatively small, barely making it up to this middle of his abdomen, he had his left arm holding her shoulder and his right hand propped against the wall behind her. At this point, he was muttering things. "Why'd you come here?" he asked, slowly sinking down to the level of her face. With his emotions running wild, his face bore more heat and he began feeling dizzy, his eyes drooping. "I asked you a question, Misaki." His body gave way when he said that and he dropped to his knees, eye level with her small, prominent stomach that's beginning to show. He felt his heart tugging again as he stared, bringing his hand to the peak of her protruding bump, softly gripping it.
At that moment, he rested his head where his hand was, now dropping both of his hands down to his sides as his dizziness began to overcome him, his face burning hot with sweat.

Misaki had always been an open book to those around her, but for once in her life, her expression shuttered and she lowered her gaze, expression going blank as she refused to meet those dark eyes that never failed to draw her in. She couldn’t put herself in that position again. There was only so much heartbreak she could take, their last encounter still like a fresh wound she had yet to begin to heal from. Her hands dropped useless to her sides, fists clenched in a tightly bundled ball and body tensed as though the slightest thing could set her running again. She wasn’t looking directly at him, but she could hear his slow progression from his desk, hardly the usual grace she had come to expect from him. Was he drunk? Angry? She couldn’t tell. But there was certainly something off about him. Misaki made the mistake of looking up then and almost balked at seeing him remove his jacket, unbuttoning his shirt. She looked like she had half a mind to flee again, but he was already caging her in until she nowhere else to go, stuck between a wall and him. She squeaked, trying not to panic at her current predicament with her – what? Could-have-been lover? No, she was not going to let mind wander back to that night even so close as he was that she could smell the scent of his familiar cologne, feel the heat radiating off him in waves. She flinched at his words, clutching the bookbag closer to her body in a death grip, her uncertain gaze watching him as he knelt in front of her. “Kei…” She finally spoke, breath hitching quietly as large hands touched her. “I’ve resigned from my post. I’m going home, so you don’t have to worry about-“ us, “-illegitimate heirs. I thought you would want to know we won’t be causing you anymore trouble.” There she’s said it, just as easy as ripping the bandaid off, right? So why did she still feel as though she was drowning? What choice did she have though, she had never intended him to actually be here when she arrived at his office. God, his cheek felt hot against her skin. “Kei.” She murmured again, alarm colouring her tone with urgency at the realisation. “You’re burning up, you need to see someone.” She placed her hands on his shoulders, trying to rouse him from where he rested. She tried to exert a bit more force without much luck. His body felt heavy against hers, essentially pinning her in place until he decided to move. “Kei, please. You need to do something, I can’t do it on my own.” And wasn't that the greatest irony here? She thought with some hysterics as she tried to wriggle free again, so she could at least get him to that couch over there. How was she going to look after a child on her own when she could not even get a grown man to move? Lady Luck must really hate her right now. you only know a part of me WORDS: like 700 muse: misakei is my muse OOC: he admitted it finally His mind drifted in and out, completely incapable of being able to control anything, let alone is own body. It was apparent that his long hours of work inevitably drained him and his health. He thought he was invincible, being able to handle anything that comes his way, working days on end, thinking that there was nothing that can stop him. Well, he was wrong. There wasn't a minute where his thoughts didn't wander and caused immediate pain to his entire world. Everything he worked for, it just doesn't mean anything to him right now. Not with the way the Higher Ups have been treating him, his own mother constantly berating him about his future. She even went as far as seeking out a wife for him. If he doesn't sign those papers by tomorrow night, there's no telling what could happen. Is he afraid? No. Will he still have to meet this girl? Yes.
He painfully looked up at Misaki, sighing in disbelief. Resigned? Leaving? He thought this was a relatively understandable move coming from her, no doubt. But does he want that to happen? Absolutely not. However, there's no going back on what has happened, and there's no way to erase what would, inevitably, be his first born child. There, he finally admitted that to himself. The odds of this child becoming the hope of the realm is very possible, he cannot abandon it because if it becomes the truth, he would not be able to hide it. But if anyone were to find out that the child is born out of wedlock, and not from his alleged betrothed, it could become a dangerous situation. Whether the Tenkai realm would be a better move for Misaki to be at or not, he cannot leave her alone. Secrets have their ways of eventually coming out, there really isn't a safe place to be, let alone a safe place to raise his own child.
Kei was about to mutter something, but he couldn't. He felt lost, and extremely weak. She's right, he has to move on his own, or else this won't get anywhere. Slowly, he rose to his feet on his own, the constant dizzy spells catching him off guard and wobbled his footing. He stumbled away from her and onto the couch, crashing down onto it. He first was sitting upright, the heat from his body getting worse. He couldn't stand to keep his shirt buttoned anymore, so he fumbled with the buttons, unbuttoning them one by one. He left his shirt open as he fell sideways onto the couch, eyes drooping, but still open, and still staring at Misaki.
"I understand the decision that you are making." he muttered slowly, breathing heavily again as he felt the weight of the world on his shoulders. "I will not stop you from doing what you think is right." Sweat was coming down from his neck, trickling down his chest. He paused briefly, feeling a headache coming about. He can't let her go, but if she stayed here, how will he be able to manage it? He put his hand over his forehead, shuffling his hair from his sweaty face as best as he could. Kei can feel the stress tugging at his heartstrings. He did not lift his drowsy gaze from her, eyeing her intently, almost longingly. "We will be faced--", he paused, breathing heavily, "--with many obstacles if you were to continue being here, with..." He paused again, feeling like he was a teenager again, trying to muster up the courage to say something that he was afraid to admit to himself. "Our child." His stomach began to flutter, though he could tell that he was about to nod out. "But I don't want you to carry the burden on your own to take care of it."
"I would prefer if you stayed here with me." Kei closed his eyes, continuing to breathe heavily, removing his hand from his forehead and letting it fall off the side of the couch.

The disbelief in his body language made her question herself, but then she was reminded of the fact that this was all for the sake of the unborn child inside of her. Misaki could not raise a child alone here, it was far too dangerous with the threats here and she was no fighter herself. She could not risk it. She gave a grateful sigh as he was finally able to move on his own, hovering fretfully behind him every step of the way as realistically if he fell, he would most likely take the both of them down with him. Once satisfied that he had made it to the couch safely, she turned to survey the office in search. Throwing down the extra weight of the book bag, Misaki went over to his desk to grab the pitcher of water and some paper towels, resolutely ignoring that certain document peeking out from amongst the others and turned to make her way back to him. Only to stop and blush furiously at the sight she found in the time her back had been turned that could have easily been mistakened for another situation. Oh god, don’t look at her like that. Well it’s not the first time you’ve seen him undressed. She was pretty sure the redness of her face matched Kei’s for an entirely different reason as she slowly made her way back to his side, locked in a staring contest with the couch’s inhabitant. She sank to her knees in front of him, unable to hide the slight tremble in her hands as she dipped the towel into the water and dabbed the sweat on his face. A feeling of numbness was starting to settle in yet again as he was seemingly agreeing with her decision, her shoulder slumping slightly in defeat that she almost missed it when his look turned fiery again, catching her completely off guard. She stared at him in surprise and a small amount of hope, hand paused just above his forehead. He still wanted to be with her? To take care of their child together? She couldn’t help the swell of happiness at his words – but then the cold rush of reality quickly followed, her gaze flickering uncertainly back to his desk before she resumed the motions, trying to cool his warm body as much as she could without leaving the room. “Kei, I would want nothing more than that. I told you before that I can deal with that and the politics. But,” she squeezed her eyes shut painfully, trying to stop the well of dampness she could feel forming. “I-I can’t be your mistress Kei.” She finished hollowly. She could deal with anything else thrown their way if it meant she could be with him, but not like this. Idly she knew that maybe this kind of arrangement was probably more common amongst Subhumans and perhaps Manors as well. But Tenkai? They were bound to one person and one person only at a time. “Anything else, Kei, I could have struggled through it if I could have you. But I can’t do this.” The last part came out as little more than a whisper. “It would not be fair to us, or the child.” She looked up, eyes shimmering with sadness and heartbreak. you only know a part of me WORDS: like 750 MUSE: misakei is my muse OOC: what a twist xD The cold water that was pressed onto his face felt nice, though immediately he felt it evaporate onto his skin. Mistress...? It seems like she took a peek on his desk where the marriage document was out in the open. It wasn't his intention to tell her, let alone for her to even find out at a time like this. He wanted to handle it, alone, with her worrying about it. But it's too late, now that she knows. It only made him more stressed out.
He finally was able to muster something to say to her, but not without extending his hand back to his face to remove his hair from his forehead again. He left it there, the pounding headache becoming more prominent and unbearable, and drifted his gaze to the ceiling. "If you understand politics, you should know my position." he muttered, slowly trying to get himself up as it was becoming uncomfortable to continue laying down. His bottom half was becoming constricting now, so he fumbled with his belt buckle and unhooked it, then opened the button to his pants in hopes to alleviate some pressure, his body swaying. "My intentions on how to deal with the sudden proposal is to deny it." His head lowered, and his gaze drifted again. "I will not become what they so eagerly want me to be." he grunted, feeling the swelling anger pooling into his chest. How could he ever think of marriage when there's mutants out there, when there's Toshi out there, plotting to take over the entire realm? They make no sense, and he was not having it. The future is bleak if he can't focus on the task at hand. Everything rests on his shoulders, every decision made, it's all for the sake of the people.
"My mother and that woman will be visiting the academy tomorrow---"
Knock, knock
His eyes darted towards the door. "Kei-saaaaan, are you in there?" The voice was small, definitely the voice of a young girl. Another voice was heard. "Kei, it's your mother."
The infuriating overwhelming feeling swirled in his body. He looked at Misaki quickly, eyes completely intent on her. As if he completely forgot that he was bearing a fever, he stumbled upwards and took Misaki's hand, scurrying behind the couch and quickly pushed her into the tall closet, with him following behind her. He shut the doors, knowing full well that this was not the time to be socializing with them right now. It's evident that this office was inhabited by someone, but he did not want to converse with them in front of Misaki. It's too risky, and their current position on the couch would have raised eyebrows, the assumptions growing wild.
The closet may be tall, but it was not big. His back faced the downward blinds while he held her, one hand behind her head, and the other on her side. They can't find out about her, not now. he pondered. Why are they here now?...
The door flew open, in walked both his mother and some other young girl. "Hmm... Junko-sama, he's not in here." the young girl mused. She had long dark black hair, with cerulean irises, couldn't be over the age of twenty, with a tall busty figure and the beauty in her face prominent. His mother practically looks the same like her children, azure hair with azure eyes, quite small but stern. The age in her face was impossible to ignore, she looked tired and miserable. "Kei. Are you in here?" she shouted, knowing full well that her son always tended to hide from him as a child when he didn't want to be confronted, and to this day, he still hides.
They both walked around, inspected some of the obvious work that someone or some others were previously in this office, but no bodies were to be found. "Damn that Kei." she mused, crossing her arms. The young girl walked closer to the couch, then looked around her. She seemed completely oblivious to any obvious signs that people were in here. "I don't think anyone is here." she huffed.
Kei held Misaki tighter as he felt his fever and headache beginning to take over once more. He started swaying again, breathing heavily, but trying to keep himself stable and quiet. His head rested on the door behind him, very slightly. Any wrong move and it can fly outwards. The closet is not the best hiding spot, but if they keep quiet, they won't even notice. i am a universe full of secrets

The water only seemed to do so much to cool him down, she needed medicine and more if she was going to have a chance of breaking his fever before the night was over. Misaki rocked back onto her heels, giving him a scrutinising look to discern his intentions, that he really was going to reject the proposal. Well that… that didn’t sound like a lie at least. She couldn’t deny the feeling of relief that came from his admission. “So that is not the reason for your silence?” She pressed on, her eyes dark and inscrutable. “I know it’s a lot, but time is of the essence here. I would have been gone tomorrow morning had you not been here.” There was a tiny bit of guilt that she was trying to press him for answers when he was in this state, she had to know though. She had been so sure they would be okay after everything came to a head, only for him to disappear before she could even grasp the situation. She turned her head curiously when the knocks came, cutting Kei off mid-sentence. “Kei, what?” His stare was suddenly scarily intense and she found herself being dragged forward and manhandled into the closet as though she was just a rag doll. “Kei?” She whispered, eyes wide as they were suddenly blanketed by darkness. She was pressed flushed against his (naked, very naked) chest, with barely any room to move, not that his hands clinging to her gave her much opportunity to. She squirmed against him, sending a glower up at him in the dark. Since the pregnancy started, Misaki’s body did tend to run on the warmer side of the scale. Getting nice and cosy with Kei’s fevered self meant the closet was nice and toasty, with temperatures rising the longer they were in there. She wriggled again in protest, may have accidentally stepped on his foot as she tried to get into a better position, only to finally go still when she heard movement outside. Ohh he was so in for it once they got out of here, or maybe… whilst they were here. It would only serve him right for deciding to strip in front of her without warning. She very innocently leans in until their bodies are practically melded together – saving space wasn’t that right? - making the occasional shift she was sure he wouldn’t miss in such close proximity. His body heat alone was going to suffocate her, she huffed into his chest, letting her fingers dance across his back as she listened to the conversations going on outside between his mother and…? She doesn’t recognise the voice, but she could guess who the newcomer is. The girl’s voice is right outside the closet, making her pause in the middle of her touching and even hold her breath. She’s completely oblivious it would seem though and she’s moving away from closet again. Would they just hurry it already? Misaki let another sigh and closed her eyes shut, knowing her breath was dissipating against his chest. Would now be a good time to disclose that she was scared of the dark? It was very, very dark in here, Kei’s body blocking a good portion of light from coming in. So, so dark… Her fingers dig into his back nervously, hoping that this would all be over very soon. you only know a part of me WORDS: like 750 muse: everyone snoring OOC: he matured so much Kei's breathing was labored when the woman approached the closet. Leave already. The annoyance he was feeling was driving him crazy, as he held the small Misaki in front of him, noticing her shifting. Despite him already running a fever, he couldn't tell if her warm body against him was making him hotter than he already was. It was surprising to him that he was even able to stand, but he couldn't run the risk of exposing Misaki to his mother right now. His grip was firm against her.
The open room behind him started to shuffle. "Annalisa, let's just wait for the meeting tomorrow. Kei will be there." Junko mused carefully. The girl huffed slightly, looking at the couch for a moment with occasional stares at the closet behind it. "But I wanted to see my future husband sooner! You know I don't do well with meetings...." she cooed, walking towards the closet and inspecting it briefly. She brushed her hand over the blinds for a moment before a cell phone started ringing. "You will see him soon. Let's move, Annalisa. We have some business with the Tenkai to take care of." Annalisa's hand dusted off some lingering dust on the closet door before swiftly turning around. "Okay!" she happily said as she turned towards the door.
As they both were walking towards the office door, Junko examined the room once more. Light was on, and there's a backpack in the room, with water and paper towels. She wasn't stupid, she knew he was in here and will make note of it before the meeting tomorrow. "When we get to the Tenkai realm, please behave yourself. Everything must go smoothly." And they walked out.
As the door shut, he immediately backed open the closet door, withdrawing his hold from Misaki and almost losing his balance in the process, and waved his hand in the air using his Telekinesis to lock the door shut for the time being. His gaze was low, and exhausted. He did not know how long he could keep this up, his fever and headache not helping his situation in the slightest. he backed himself onto the back of the couch behind him, breathing heavily again as another wave of pain shot through him, whether the pain of his heart or the pain of being ridiculed by his own mother.
His gaze lifted up at Misaki, putting a hand over his forehead, beginning to lose control over what he was about to say to her. "This realm, rests on my shoulders." he voiced, raspy. "You have not met my mother, she has more power over me than anyone else alive." He grunted, slowly slumping down the back of the couch. "Disobeying her could cause a lot of unnecessary trouble..." he trailed, closing his eyes for a moment and waited for the pain in his head to subside. He was surprised that he lasted this long without medicine to hold him over. "With that being said, I'm willing to risk everything if it means that you will stay." Kei's eyes opened slightly, now staring at Misaki. His eyes soft, but there's sternness in the way he was looking at her, almost longingly, but serious.
"Nowhere else is safe unless the both of you are under my protection. There are certain beings out there that will ruin everything, out of pure spite." He thought long and carefully about what he was going to say next. The overwhelming feeling of uncertainty pooling in, constricting his chest and forming a knot in his throat. "Secrets have their ways of reaching out. " He paused, briefly. "You are not a mistake. I would give up everything I have ever worked for in my life to be with you." His eyes lowered. "But I have things I need to take care of, things I have to finish in order to be able to live the life the way it was meant to be, with no restraints."
He slowly stood up, dropping his shirt to the ground and it was becoming a nuisance to keep on his body. "I will understand if waiting for me is out of the question." He stumbled over towards the medicine cabinet, eyes his pills but grabbed the one that made more sense for him to take right now, and popped two in, dry swallowing them both with his back facing her. "But I can't let you leave my sight."

They were so going to get caught, no way one of the two women in the room would not realise there was only one plausible spot to hide in. Great, she was going to be outed in front of the woman she had handed in her resignation letter to, hiding in the closet with her son. It felt like almost an eternity before finally they were out of the room. Misaki had to wonder if his mother’s parting words had been intended for Kei, instead of the one who was his supposed betrothed. She was short of simply just falling out of the closet in relief as the light flooded her vision, taking a moment to realise she was almost hyperventilating, fingers clutching at the open door to lean in for support. “A little warning would be nice, next time.” She weakly quipped with a quick twist of her wrist to stir up a cool breeze in the room. Was it just her, or was it hot in this room? She stumbled over to him, dragging up a chair to sink into it with a relived sigh. He looks at her then, the seriousness on his features making her close her mouth and just listen to what he had to say. There was a lot to consider, and whatever decision she would come to make was not one to be taken lightly. Some of the things he says she’s already aware of and had considered when making her decision the first time, like his position in this realm. His mother is a surprise, but she has always known the woman to be a strict headmistress. Kei never talked about her when they were together. “Look Kei, I’m not selfish enough to ask you to choose me over the Realm. I know how much you love this place and while the Tenkai realm is my home, this has come to be my second home as well. I do not wish to see it suffer the same fate or overrun by Manor.” She brushed long, teal hair back over her shoulder, fingers fidgeting with the strands in thought. “And maybe this is a conversation for another day, you are really not in the right state for this at the moment.” She stared at him, raising an eyebrow. He can barely keep his head up. She needed to be sure that he would still make the same decision when he was lucid and not draped across the couch half-dying. “But if I did stay, where will I go? I’ve already quit my job because it was becoming too difficult to hide this.” She gestured down at her stomach. “If I’m seen by your side in this state, our secret will be out even faster.”She gave a miserable sigh, resting her chin on her hands. “If it were just me I would say yes in a heartbeat, and I really do want to. Now. But let’s figure some things out before we dive headfirst, neh? I’m a liability to you either way.” She smiled at him and stood up, making her way over until she was just in front of him. She looked up, reaching up to brush his hair out of his face. “I can wait for you, either way. But whether that’s here or there. I’m not sure, I need to protect this little one right here first.” She grasped Kei’s hand with her own gently, moving it towards the bump. “They’re not kicking yet, but I’m sure they’ll be a strong one when they arrive. Until then, though…”

you only know a part of me WORDS: like 600 muse: roy orbison OOC: >D He noticed her shuffling behind him so he turned around and found her propping up a chair. He loves this realm? He used to. With how everything that is going, it makes him hate this place more and more. But he has a duty to protect everyone here, and he will do what it takes to make this place a sanctuary. Even if he has to defy his own family.
She mentioned where would she be able to go, and he looked at her, eyes drooping a bit. The medicine is kicking in slowly, but he still feels overwhelmed. He hasn't thought that far ahead, and he is not sure where the best place for her and the child would be. He hasn't been to the Tenkai realm yet to consider that place safe, but neither is Shunojiski. There's only one place that can work for the time being. "I have a secret spot that you can stay in. It is isolated, and no one knows of it's whereabouts. I used to stay there years ago to isolate myself from everyone." Realization that this is his child starting sinking in even more, and he sighed. "We cannot be seen together for now."
To say that Kei was flustered is an understatement, since the only feeling he's feeling right now is the overwhelming state of his fever and headache. But when she put his hand over her stomach, almost covering the entire thing due to his giant hands, he felt a jolt of embarrassment right through to his face. At this point in his life, he came to terms with the decision of his own mind to be the last Sinclair in the family to rule, but things have changed pretty drastically in the blink of an eye. He glanced at her stomach, and gripped it, kneeling down in front of her to stare at it, and breathing slowly, his headache piercing.
Kei doesn't want her to leave his side, yet she can't be near his side. It's an extremely unfortunate predicament that not even he knows what the proper decision would be. He would have to make a decision about his future quickly, as there's only a certain amount of time before the birth, calculated and precise. If he messes up, there's no going back. Who knows what may happen, and he will have to be prepared for it. "I want to make myself clear to you, that you are free to make your own decisions on where you would like to stay." He rested his head on her stomach, closing his eyes for a moment.
"I will not leave you alone." he said, sternly.
Time has passed, and the festival occurring outside just started. Bustling students began filing into the hallways with their parents. Residents of the realm walked outside, checking out the vendors and awaiting for the fireworks to happen. Most of the students were wearing yukatas, dressing up for the occasion. Kei moved back, looking up at Misaki for a moment. Completely changing the subject for a moment. "Do you have a yukata?" he mused, looking at her longingly. "You can't go to the festival looking like this." The expression on his face faded into exhaustion once more, empty and sad, but longing. His fingers slowly moved up her chest, over her collarbone and towards her left cheek.
He felt something come over him, eyes sharp, he lifted his body upwards to her and hovered over her face. His breath hot, he leaned in towards her lips and melted them together.

She has had months to accept what would be her new norm and him only a few weeks, if he had been dealing with it at all. They were going to be parents in less than a year’s time. She just has a feeling that a whole lot more was about to change, and that made her nervous. She took a breath and nodded slowly. “Well I am not due back in the Tenkai realm until the weekend, you can show me this secret place of yours and I will decide.” She paused for a second as another thought occurred to her. “But we will also need to consider medical arrangements as well, just in case.” She needed the peace of mind that if something did happen, she wasn’t going to be left in the middle of nowhere and unable to reach help. The fact that their child was mix-raced only heightened her anxiety over their health. She watched him move down, this time with no resistance as he takes it all in. While she couldn’t help the self-consciousness of her changing body, she also knew that it would be all worth it in the end. “I guess if I stay with the Tenkai, you will have to find more excuses to have meetings there.” Misaki weakly joked, placing a hand in his hair. “I know it’s no Shunojiski, but it truly is beautiful up there… or was. I don’t know what they’ve done with the place since then. I would like to show you someday.”
It would be strange, going back. Misaki held a lot of fond childhood memories of her home, but to think that places or people from her past might not still be there when she came back. Well, it was a lot. They stay there for a while longer before Kei suddenly looked up and was moving again. “A yukata? No, I was not expecting to attend.” She answered honestly, looking flushed. Was he asking her on a date? But that was silly, they shouldn’t be seen together. “I didn’t think it would be as enjoyable alone.” She grimaced. While it was a family event and not a couple event like some of the other festivals held throughout the year, she had not been in the mood to see happy families running around. Her other friends had their own plans that she had not felt comfortable intruding upon. She blushes even darker as his hand trailed up her body, giving him a guilty look. “Kei?” She startled, making a surprised sound as their lips touched. She’s hesitant at first, all coherent thoughts suddenly blanking into a messy jumble which short-circuits her, but as Kei leaned in further to deepen the kiss, Misaki gives in to her feelings and reciprocated. His lips, his touch, the heat, it was driving her crazy. Slender fingers reached up to tangle in his hair, to draw him in until she’s completely lost in the feeling. It was only until she was almost dizzy with the lack of air that she pulled back, panting softly and eyes wide as she stared up at him with want. “I don’t want to go alone.” To the festival or back to the Tenkai realm, she doesn’t specify. Or maybe it’s both. Miskai knew that she’s already lost and her heart has already made that decision for her. She was going to stay. She wanted to tell him then and there, but she doesn’t. The last time she blurted out something without thinking about it, she had been burned horribly. She needed to give her more time to think, away from Kei because god knows her judgement is skewered when she is around him. She can’t help it, she’s helpless when it comes to him. you only know a part of me WORDS: like 650 muse: derps OOC: cause you're everywhere to meee~~ when i close my eyes, it's you and meee :3 His lips parted from hers, swaying a bit from leaning down to her level. Leaving this weekend... His hand lingered on her face as he stood up, ruffled his hair a bit with his other arm, letting his hand trail off her as he walked back to the couch because he was feeling faint once again. If he was standing any longer, he would end up passing out. The limit has almost been reached.
"No need to worry about anything medical. I have eyes and ears in this realm and secure help when needed." He leaned back on the couch, sweat dripping down his bare chest again, his head resting over the back of the couch. His eyes looked up at the ceiling, wondering how he had ever been able to suppress all of these emotions. It's becoming unbearable lately. Maybe he needs a refresher course. "My mother may have secrets in this realm, but I've never been innocent either." he trailed. It's true, most of his closest friends know what to do if anything were to happen to him, and their own proper measures in case something were to arise. A case like this, he knows who he can count on, even without having to explain the reasoning why.
"Myself included, heading to the Tenkai realm is not an easy task, unless you're my mother. They are even weary about me and my motives and prefer me not to take too many trips up there unless needed, like tomorrow." What will he do tomorrow? He has made a lot of rash decisions in the past, last time he was in the Tenkai realm. This time is different, and there is no room for mistakes or bad decisions in any way. No time can be wasted. He would have to make haste in what he decides to do.
His hand lifted a bit and waved it. "It would have been nice to see you in a yukata instead of that getup." he cooed, obviously teasing her. He let out a sigh, looking at the wall clock. His mother and Annalisa should be out of Shuniojiski, but there is no guarantee on their whereabouts so he has to be careful. "I think we should move. We shouldn't stay in the office for too much longer."
Kei stumbled upwards, gathering his dress shirt and suit jacket, setting them aside on the back of his chair. Despite him being way too hot to even put any type of clothes on the top half of his body, he reached into the small closet beside his desk, and grabbed a black fitted tank top and lazily put it on. Better than nothing. He was already feeling uncomfortable with it on.
He pushed his chair in and gathered the paperwork he needed for tomorrow, including the marriage proposal. Stacks and stacks of paperwork was scattered across his desk as the mound of it collapsed as soon as he touched it. Kei made a loud sigh. "Great. Guess none of these are important." He grabbed his suit jacket and hoisted it over his right shoulder, his eyes fluttering in misery and exhaustion. "Ready? Don't worry about cleaning anything up."
As the festival started, the hallways became quiet, only a few students here and there, so suspected suspicion of anything is very low. He stood there waiting for Misaki to collect her things. While she was doing that, he signaled his driver with the push of a button that was in his pocket. Suddenly a voice popped into his head. He doesn't have the power of Telepathy, but if one were to use it on someone, the other can speak to them. "Kei Sinclair. You haven't pinged me in ages." Kei sighed, his thoughts flooding in. "Judo, I'm going to need your assistance."
"I like the sound of that. Be right over in the usual spot."

Given the severity of the secret they were keeping – she knew their child would be frowned upon because of its blood – she was also sure that Kei would never lead them into danger purposefully. Whoever his contacts were, they could be trusted to at least keep their mouth shut. “Then that is one less thing I don’t need to worry about.”“Well that’s too bad then. It would have been nice…” She trailed off and followed him to the couch, a frown marring her features as she looked down at him. His condition was only worsening, she pursed her lips with disapproval. “You look to be in no condition to be attending any meetings tomorrow, let alone taking a trip to the Tenkai realm.” She huffed, fingers twitching with restraint from the need to fuss over Kei though that mood was quickly changed when he teased her. She pouted and raised an eyebrow, giving her best disappointed teacher stare . “You’re one to talk, half dressed and sweating through all your clothes.” Misaki scowled, folding her arms across her chest. “Besides, it’s a festival. I’m sure there is a vendor selling some.” Maybe it would have been fun to have taken the time to dress up, if she had the time. She did miss pampering herself after the stress that was the last few months. She looked around as he started to pack up his things, moving to gather up the supplies she had used earlier despite his words. She shrugged, tossing the wet towels in the bin and returning the water to where it was originally. “Your office is enough of a mess already without me adding to it. Frankly, I’m surprised you’re not drowning in paper here.” Once satisfied that the place looked how it was when she had first arrived, Misaki picked up her bag to follow him out, looking curiously at him when she caught up. “I’m going to drop this back in my car, it’s a bit heavy so I don’t want to lug it around any further than I have to.” She gestured down at the bag that was filled with textbooks and loose notes of paper. “I’ll meet you down in the courtyard?” She paused for the confirmation apprehensively. There was a small doubt in her mind that he may just very well up and disappear again when she had her back turned. “Though you still look like a walking infirmary patient. I don't know if you're going anywhere.” Her lips quirked as she took in his change of attire. [/style][style=background-color: #2E2E2E;color:#090909;padding:5px; text-align:right] notes: [/style] |

you only know a part of me WORDS: like 900 muse: misakei OOC: lol Kei raised his eyebrow at her, with one of his famous blank stares that was noted by every girl in the school who swooned over him. "I have been drowning in paperwork for many years already. This is the cleanest my office has been, despite the way it looks." he trailed, clearing his throat a bit. Thinking about it briefly, his office was barely anything but messy. He used to have someone come in every night and clean it, however in recent years his trust in people have become scarce, and he decided that letting people in when he's not here could pose as a problem. Manor infiltration was always a common thing in this academy. He knows full well that there are students here that are either half Manor or full, not knowing whom of course. It was a mere speculation at first, considering there are times where it is hard to distinguish, but now it's become apparent, or at least he thinks so. He would never admit it, but there are some Manor out there who just want to live normally in the realm. However, training Manor to use their abilities regardless of how they feel will always pose as a huge risk to the academy regardless.
He stepped out of his office, letting her go in front so he can lock his door, then walked a little ahead of her. Not by choice of course, his long strides allows him to walk quicker naturally, so he had to slow himself down to keep with Misaki's pace. She mentioned that she had to drop her bag off to her car, which in his current motives right now, is a perfect time for her to do so. He nodded at her, clutching his jacket he's holding over his shoulder. "I'll meet you in the courtyard. My driver will be there as well." It's been quite some time since he said that, as normally he doesn't have time to go anywhere in general within the recent years. He abandoned most places that were offered for him to live in because of his time spent here in the academy. In recent years, he's only been resting in the guest house, which used to be part of the academy before it was turned into a small studio apartment. Before that, he was often found sleeping in his office, hunched over his desk.
Before they parted ways, he quickly glanced around him. The halls were empty at this moment while all the students, faculty, and citizens were outside. "I'm heading this way, don't get lost, and try not to give into the vendors that are selling candy out there." He winked at her, waving his hand while he walked out back towards the courtyard.
The courtyard was dark, with only a few lights illuminating the marble brick flooring, sparkling softly underneath the moon's natural light. He peered at the vehicle parked at the other end of the sidewalk and walked over towards it, noticing Judo leaning against it with his arms crossed over his chest. "Took you long enough! What's the hold up, bluebird?" Kei glanced at him, obviously not in the mood to wrestle with him with words of any kind due to his headache. "Can't say much here." He leaned up against the short limo next to Judo, staring up at the moon. "We are taking her to the place." Judo cracked open a smile, though hardly being able to be seen due to the darkness. "We're going to that place? Never thought you would ever say that again, not after--" He stopped himself. "Sorry, I didn't mean to bring anything up."
Kei's glance moved from the moon towards the courtyard entrance, hoping Misaki would come through soon. "No, it's okay. Going there will bring it all back, but everything is in the past now. Just a matter of what Misaki would think when she sees all of Nanami's belongings there." He looked down, grabbing a cigarette from his pack, holding one out for Judo to grab. Judo took one and lit them both up with the lighter he had on him, while they waited for Misaki to come.
Meanwhile at the festival, Junko and Annalisa were getting ready to head through the portal for the Tenkai realm. But not before Annalisa wanting to wander around the strip of vendors, with Junko giving her a twenty minute time limit. She swayed through the crowds, hoping to see a nice face around, speaking to someone on the phone. "Ah yeah, haven't met him yet. I wonder what he's like." she mused, looking around for candy to bring with her to the realm. "Oh don't worry, I still love you. This is purely for show! Remember what we talked about. We just have to do it once so I can bare his son, and then I could take full control of the situation and eliminate them once and for all. Simple as that!" She stopped in front of a vendor that was selling candy apples and her mouth watered. "Everything will go smoothly, just like that old hag says." She stared at the apples, eye glistening, then looked at the time. "Gotta go babe, I'll ring you after tomorrow's meeting." Hanging up the phone, she shouted for some candied apples, almost cutting the entire line in front of her.

A driver? She wondered where he planned on taking her, the curiosity getting the better of her even though she knew she would get her answers sooner or later. When he didn’t elaborate, she shrugged and followed him, noticing that he was slowing down for her. Good, all this extra weight on her made it more difficult for her to keep up even on her better days and she couldn’t help it that he was so damn tall. “You say that like it’s a bad thing.” She smiles widely, and they both know that she’s going to be distracted by the delicious smelling treats wafting in their direction from the open windows. She lets her hand brush over his before she goes off on her own, heading into the thick of the lantern festival where the staff carpark was located. She treaded her way carefully through the lively crowds, taking note of what was where for the trip back. She doesn’t know where Kei was planning on taking them, but a couple of extra treats couldn’t hurt anyone. Her trip to the car was relatively uneventful besides from a few excited greetings from her students – former students now. She drops her bag into the trunk of the car, making sure it’s secure before braving a second trip through the festival-goers. The atmosphere was vibrant and the space quickly filling up with attendees. She found herself having to squeeze through more large groups, seemingly searching for something in the sea of chaos. Her eyes light up when she found what she was looking for. She knew Kei was waiting for her… but he had seemed disappointed when she mentioned that she didn’t have a yukata for the occasion. She flicks through the collection on display, ignoring the hustle and bustle around her as she concentrated on her task, feeling almost giddy with excitement for the first time in a long time. “This is the one.” She brightened when her cerulean gaze landed on a dark blue yukata patterned with fireworks in honour of the festival being celebrated and green obi to match. “Can you help me with this…? I’m not good with the bow.” She questioned the storekeeper, smiling excitedly. Between the two of them, it didn’t take too long for her to change into the yukata, her old clothes packed neatly into a carry bag. The storekeeper had even been kind enough to help her with fixing her signature twin-tails into two tightly-wound buns. Now dressed appropriately, she no longer stuck out like a sore thumb amongst the attendee, drifting from vendor to vendor to pick up some sweets despite Kei’s warning (like that was ever going to stop her, he should have known better). Content with her shopping, she was going to make her way back to the agreed meeting location when an obnoxiously loud voice cut through the general sounds of the festival. Misaki frowned a little and walked closer to where the commotion was, where some patrons were already complaining about a liner cutter. She zeroed in on the cause of the ruckus, a young woman up front demanding for candy apples. “Excuse me, miss. I believe there are people waiting before you.” She smiled politely, gesturing back at the line of disgruntled people. “You should wait your turn, you're attracting a lot of... attention.” She finished with a more stern tone, the one she favours when dealing with misbehaving students. There was something horribly familiar about the woman in front of her, though she couldn’t quick put her finger on it. She certainly wasn’t one of her students at the academy, Misaki was sure of it. Still, she couldn’t very well let someone get away with inappropriate behaviour, and on school grounds least of all. you only know a part of me WORDS: like 550 muse: thunderstorms! OOC: ^^ Annalisa grumbled when everyone around her started to tell her to 'get in the back of the line'. One noticeable figure approached her, wearing this adorable yukata, and was rather small in size. The black haired girl wasn't from this realm so there are barely anyone here that knows who she is. Annalisa grinned at the girl in front of her, hoping to use her rather exponential abilities to show her that she indeed doesn't need to wait in line.
With a scoff, she closed her eyes and snapped her fingers. The aura around her, which was unsettling because everyone was mad that she cut in line, was now back to normal, almost too normal. Some were stating her name, and some recognized her, allowing her to cut in front, and stating she was there first. She smiled at he girl in front of her. "The power of manipulation is wild, isn't it? she trailed, flipping her hair off her shoulders. "I'm still a novice when it comes to my memory abilities, but sometimes it works." She winked, and went ahead to buy the apples that she wanted. When she was done, she turned around and chomped on one of her apples, speaking through her chewing. "Are you a teacher here, perhaps?" She tilted her head for a moment, before glancing at the clock on the top of the academy. Her eyes widened. "Oh crap, I gotta split!" She tucked her apples close to her chest, and looked at the girl in front of her, sighing abruptly. "Can't be late for Junko Sinclair!" She leaned in closer to her, her blue eyes widening, almost crazy. "I'm going to be marrying her oldest son. Can you believe it?! Even if we don't click, no one said I can't use my abilities on him~" She winked at her, waved, and dashed through the crowd.
Back at the courtyard, Kei and Judo continued leaning against the vehicle, dragging on their cigarettes. "What's taking her so long?" he groaned, hardly being able to stand let alone stand in one spot. "I should have known she'd be tempted to grab whatever candy vendor she sees." He took a long drag off his cigarette. Judo scoffed, doing the same. "You know, Kei, it's cute when you're worried." Kei sighed. "It's not me being worried, I just have a headache and need to rest." Judo glanced at him carefully. "I haven't seen you for months, I'm sure you have been swamped with everything going on. I've been hearing from the Higher Ups a lot. They want me back to take over charges again." he mused, taking a drag. "I'm not going to do it. Already resigned the moment that incident happened."
Kei looked up at the moon, noticing the clear skies. "I'm going to need you by my side for a while." He looked back at Judo, the sternness of his eyes glistening from the illumination. "My life is going to change drastically." Judo looked up at the skies. "Say no more. We can talk when we are away from here." He flicked the cigarette butt into the trash can and swung around into the driver's seat of the limo before getting in. Kei stood there, dragging on the rest of his cigarette.

Misaki casted a wary look around her at the sudden shift in atmosphere. Such blatant misuse! She bristled, her frown deepening as she turned back to the girl who was pushing forward to purchase the candy apples which were the cause of this whole commotion. “You shouldn’t misuse your abilities like that, it’s very—” She was cut off at her question of whether she was a teacher, not even getting a chance to speak any further as she whipped around wildly, talking more to herself then she was to Misaki. She couldn't even get a word in She froze at her words, suddenly pinpointing exactly why she had seemed so familiar. It was the same person from Kei’s office earlier, his supposed to be betrothed – but wait, what was this about Kei? Her eyes went wide and then narrowed at the other woman’s retreating back. She was definitely liking the idea of him seeing her less and less now. Her grip tightened on the sleeve of her yukata. Right, Kei. She should be heading back to him now. Mood noticeably less enthused as she made the trek back through the crowds. It was already dark and many vendors had their lanterns up and lit on full display, the shadows casting long lines as flames danced merrily. Leaving the buzz of the festival behind, she stepped hesitantly into the entrance of the quiet courtyard. It was impossible not to notice his tall figure leaning against a car. “Kei.” She wrinkled her nose slightly as she walked up to him, batting at the cigarette. “You know you’re going to have to give that up for a while, or at least while I’m not around.” Or their child, but she doesn’t mention that aloud, they’re still in a public space after all. It was best not to tempt fate. “I bought back some treats from the festival, seeing as I didn’t really know where you wanted to go.” She waved the bag around, though her usual passion for sweets was noticeably muted. The earlier incident was still weighing on her mind and she wasn’t sure how she was going to bring it up with him. “Sorry it took so long, I got distracted on the way back.” She looked down and fidgeted, “Look Kei, about that girl from earlier…” Misaki trailed off and her eyes went wide as she realised they weren’t alone like she had first assumed. There was someone in the car they were standing in front of. Her jaw shut with an audible click and she gave him a nervous glance. Kei didn’t seem too worried though, so maybe it as a friend…? “Ah! You didn’t tell me you were going to introduce me to a friend.” She exclaimed in surprise, peering around his much taller body curiously, her twin-tails swaying from the movement. Now wasn’t this curious? [/style][style=background-color: #2E2E2E;color:#090909;padding:5px; text-align:right] notes: [/style] |

you only know a part of me WORDS: like 450 muse: fhana's best album ever OOC: =w= As he smoked the last bit of his cigarette, he noticed a figure approaching from the entrance. He felt a sigh of relief when he saw it was Misaki. He noticed the bag in her hand and the corner of his lip rose as she scolded him for his apparent bad habit. "That's asking a lot from me, girl." he grinned, leaning forwards off the car. Her body language was indicating that she had something else to say about her being a bit late about the girl from earlier, which intrigued him. Did that mean they're still here? He was going to say something but she was distracted after noticing that there was someone in the car. He raised an eyebrow at her.
The windows of the vehicle were slightly down, but Judo lowered the passenger side's window down. "Hey little lady, names Judo. We can save the introductions for later, there's company up ahead." Kei glanced sideways and noticed his mother and Annalisa were heading through the entrance to the courtyard. Before anyone hesitated, Kei grabbed Misaki's arm. "Get in, quick." he mused, before letting her in first, and then himself. With no time to lose, Judo stepped on the gas, and they drove off before either of those two were to notice that they were even there.
Kei let out a sigh, before stretching his legs in front of him and bringing an arm over his eyes, laying back as far as he could on the leather seats. "Damn, that was close. And Judo-" he trailed. "These couch seats you have here are far too short for me, I can barely fit." Sighing again, he tried to get himself comfortable but his headache and sweat was only making it worse for him. "This is all I got for now you giant, so you'll have to bare with me here." He turned left out of the academy, and they headed towards the city.
Groaning, his hair fell in front of his face as he leaned forward trying not to succumb to his pain, his sweat glistened with the lights of the city that illuminated the inside of the small limo, lighting his face up with every pass by. The limo was rather short, but there was just enough room for Kei's legs to fit inside it, though he still felt cramped up. The air conditioner was on slightly in the car, and since he was only wearing a fitted tank, he could feel the chills coming. "What were you going to say about that girl, Misaki?" he mused, not raising his expression from the floor, but extending his hand to her, indicating that he wants her to scoot closer to him.
Judo stopped the car at the red stoplight, glancing at the driver's mirror, looking back at them while they spoke.

She shuffled to the furthermost corner of the car so he could slide in after her, dropping her bags down by her feet and barely having time to secure her seatbelt before they were taking off. She giggled softly at the exchange between the newly introduced-Judo and Kei, still looking curiously to try and figure out the connection between the two. As he seemed to settle in as best he could in the supposedly cramped space of the car, she supposed that’s what life was like as a giant, she took his invitation to move in closer. She leaned into his shoulder, her smaller frame dwarfed by his, letting her eyes close partially. “Did you know she can manipulate memories? I ran into her earlier on my way back, she was causing a commotion at the candied apple stand. But poof – just like that, everyone who was paying attention just forgot about it.”She furrowed her brow disapprovingly, such excessive display of powers was disconcerting, particularly when the other woman didn’t even seem to care about the effect on her targets. “She said she’s going to marry you, and that she will use her powers on you to make you… I don’t know, fall in love with her.” She chewed on her lower lip, a nervous tick developed from her teenaged years, “I just want you to be careful tomorrow when you go to meet them.”Misaki lifted her head to look at him, taking in his exhausted state. “Though looking at you now, you hardly seem to be in any condition to be attending any meetings.” Her gaze lingered at his waist level, a pink flush spreading quickly as she realised his pants were still undone, quickly sinking into his shoulder out of embarrassment. “Y-You umm… You’re not done up properly.” She squeaked out between her fingers, avoiding Judo’s stare through the driver’s mirror. Even more mortified that his friend had not pointed it out, she knew Subhumans were more liberal with their bodies, but still. It had already been a challenge and a half trying to get Kei to keep his clothes on. She sank further down, watching the city lights flash by out of the glazed window with great interest to avoid the both of them.
